When I was in Grade 10, I found myself deeply inspired to speak up about an issue that has always been close to my heart: women empowerment. It was during an English summative assignment, where we were given the freedom to choose our own topic, that I knew exactly what I wanted to address. For me, this wasn’t just another school project; it was an opportunity to advocate for something I genuinely care about. Women empowerment is a topic that transcends boundaries, challenges stereotypes, and lays the foundation for a fairer, more inclusive world. As a young student, I wanted my words to shed light on the struggles women face and, more importantly, on the limitless potential they hold. This subject is not just important, it’s essential for creating a society where equality and progress go hand in hand. With that said, I’d like to invite you to read the speech that I wrote and share in the vision I hope to inspire.
“Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests,
I would like to welcome you to this crucial speech. It is an honor and a privilege for me to stand before you today to address a subject that is particularly close to my heart - the women empowerment.
This is an important issue that transcends borders, fights prejudice, and promotes progress. I am deeply convinced that we must make women’s empowerment a priority.
It is not just an idea, but a social and moral responsibility that is the key to human development.
As we work together for a more equitable future, it’s crucial to recognize that women have boundless possibilities to participate fully in all aspects of life. We shouldn't just be trying to break through the glass ceiling, but rather to build a free and uncontrolled paradise where women’s dreams and aspirations can improve without limits.
Today, let’s think about how we can inspire change, create strong bonds of equality, and ensure that every woman feels not just seen, but heard, respected and empowered to shape her own future.
The emancipation of women is not only a goal to be achieved, it is also a directive that we must firmly respect. We are here together not just as members of this organization, but as members of a community that has the power to shape the future. In terms, émancipation means a stronger society, but also balanced and prosperous. Let’s be aware of our role as drivers of this change, and let’s unite to create a future where justice, respect and equality reign.
In facts,
Not a single country in the world has achieved gender equality
Over 380 millions women are living in extreme poverty
It could take another 286 years to remove discriminatory laws for women
Figures among many others. Figures that represent the status but also the suffering of women in this society, figures that prove that women are not equal to men, figures that perfectly define the stereotypes that we pronounce as individuals in this society.
For example, In Madagascar, the status and role of women is in progress, with current efforts to promote equality and empowerment in all aspects of society. However, gender inequalities persist in various forms. The status of women in society varies considerably from country to country. Much is left to be done to achieve true equality between men and women around the world. It’s a complex issue including social, economic and political influences. Promoting gender equality and empowering women around the world depends largely on international missions and raising awareness.
I invite you to join me in this quest to build a future where women’s strength, perception and creativity serves as a fixed foundation for a prosperous and equitable society. Have you ever felt the power of making a difference ? For sure yes for men , but as women, we want to have an impact on the world around us, the question is “how can we do it together ?” Here is the answer: We can give women the same access to education and health as the men. To be more collaborative and inclusive, we can call for a feminine leadership. A lot of solutions are available to us to improve the status of women in this almost unjust society, I’m just giving you some solutions to our problems that could bring about big changes.
In conclusion, dear comrades, the emancipation of women is not a simple objective, but a daily engagement. By striving for equality, we are forging a future in which every woman can shine. Let our unions be the strength and the beginning of change. Together, we are writing a new chapter in the history of this society.
Thank you for taking part and presence in this crucial speech about the women in today's society.”
